Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant declared a state of emergency on Friday in response to the tornadoes that have destroyed nearly everything in its path on Thursday. In fact, this is the second time that a state of emergecny has been declared in Mississippi in less than a week, due to tornadoes.

The latest fatality is from a traffic incident involving hydroplaning in Fort Gordon, Gerogia, on Friday evening.

Earlier Friday morning, the storm caused the death of an 8-year-old girl in Leon County, Florida. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office report that a tree fell into the families house, killing the young girl and injuring a 12-year-old boy.

Out of the five reported deaths, three were on Thursday.

One death was in Alabama, and two were in Mississippi.

Authorities are doing the best they can during this state of emergency to make sure that everyone in these areas are safe.
